About the Salomon Speedcross Vario 2
Made to tame hard surfaces, the Salomon Speedcross Vario 2 shoe offers you versatility and comfortable fit. Soft and dynamic exits await trail players who like to run on various terrains. To better help you manage transitions, this model has an eye-catching midsole and protective cushioning. With an optimized fit like this one, it becomes very pleasant to move from a technical surface to a more mild road.
Wet Traction Contagrip Outsole + Crampons
Wet Traction Contagrip outsole gives you unparalleled traction with confidence. This sole is specially designed to deliver reassuring grip on wet and slippery surfaces. After or even during a rainy episode, the trailer runs as if everything was dry under his feet. The crampons at the end of the sole come to bite the ground for a convincing hook wherever you go.
Injected EVA midsole + Light Weight Muscle
Injected EVA forms the entire midsole to soften receptions and intense shocks. Salomon takes care of the protection part of the underside of the foot again. It is thus conserved the Light Weight Muscle, light compound in EVA which helps to absorb the forces of impact. This double protection results in soft cushioning, one of the main strengths of the Salomon Speedcross Vario 2.
The quasi-made adjustment of the Sensifit system gives its precision to the fit. It is articulated around the foot to wrap it, from the midsole to the laces. For safety reasons, the foot remains in the axis and does not slip into the shoe when you need maximum concentration.
Anti-debris mesh upper
Debris is common on the roads. Fortunately for the trailer, the Speedcross Vario 2 is equipped with an anti-debris mesh rod that prevents the outer bodies from getting caught in the wrong places.
Similar to a protective barrier, the stone guard acts all around the shoe to protect the foot from the outer elements. It pushes the pebbles and prevents the stem from being pierced by a protruding object.
The Ortholite loses only 5% of its effectiveness over time. An impressive longevity which makes this material a very often used component, in trail as in running. Here it is housed in the insole that has a rear EVA part for more softness on impact. Improved cushioning is part of the Ortholite benefits such as optimized breathability and good odor and moisture management.
